Picko Per Troberg, born on 1 January 1938, is one of Sweden’s most famous racing drivers who had great success in the 1960s. Among other things he was the Swedish Champion nine times in different leagues. When he, 23 years old, read in a magazine about a motor show in England, the idea to start something similar in Sweden came to him. With a lot of stubbornness he managed to sell his vision to a representative for Ostermans marmorhallar at Stureplan in Stockholm. The lessor lent out the premises for a promise to get paid for rent directly from the admission fee. This was a big risk but it ended up being worthwhile when Sweden’s first Motor show was a huge success in 1961. This was how Troberg could finance his first car.

Since then the racing career has been more of a hobby and working with different kinds of exhibitions has been his main job. He has also started the courier service “Pickos budbilar” (later Adena Pickos) and is working as a manager for some of Sweden’s greatest racing drivers today.

Troberg bought lot number 167, a Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust, as a gift for his wife Lena, from his friend, the racing legend and Rolex ambassador, Sir Jackie Stewart.
